By creating an account or using any part of the Pattern Lab Studio service (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.

Pattern Lab Studio provides AI-powered UX audit reports for websites and app interfaces. You submit a URL or screenshots; our system visits the page or processes your images, then uses AI analysis to produce a ranked list of UX issues and recommendations (“Audit Report”).

Audit Reports are generated automatically and represent the output of AI analysis. They are intended as a starting point for your own review and are not a substitute for professional human UX research or legal/accessibility compliance advice.

• You must be 16 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering. We may suspend accounts that use false or misleading information.
• One person or legal entity may maintain one free-trial account. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free audits is prohibited.

You agree not to:

• Submit URLs or screenshots that you do not have the right to audit.
• Use the Service to audit websites or content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of third parties.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or reproduce the Service’s AI models or analysis methodology.
• Automate requests to the Service in a way that interferes with normal operation or circumvents rate limits.
• Use the Service to audit sites belonging to competitors in order to build a competing AI analysis product.
• Resell or sublicence access to the Service without our written consent.
• Introduce malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without refund.

Audit Reports are generated by large language model AI. They may contain errors, omissions, or recommendations that are not applicable to your specific context. You should:

• Review all findings before acting on them.
• Not treat Audit Reports as legal, accessibility-compliance, or professional UX research advice.
• Exercise your own judgment about which recommendations to implement.

We make no warranty that Audit Reports are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PATTERN LAB STUDIO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 (USD), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pattern Lab Studio and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) content you submit; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.

Either party may terminate the relationship at any time. You may close your account from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if required by law, with or without notice.

On termination: your right to use the Service ends immediately; we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy; provisions that by their nature should survive (including liability limitations and IP ownership) continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to participate in class-action proceedings.

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Pattern Lab Studio regarding the Service.
• Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
• No waiver. Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition.
